Peach fruit


Peach Don’t be fooled by the Lolita-esque styling of these pops. The crushed peaches in these popsicles were soaked in a bourbon bath to cool you down and chill you out. Mix it with a little simple syrup and some plain yogurt and you’ll have cocktail popsicles in just a few freezing hours.just peaches in sauternes {a sweet French dessert wine}, heightened with a touch of sugar and Grand Marnier. I usually drain the peaches, but a bit of bite is still left. It is wonderful with vanilla ice cream. For the first peaches of the season, I decided to do a bit more. I used some of the wine for a cake that resembled the clean brightness of Spring itself.

This dessert is a two-part one, combining cake and fruit, the sharp bite of alcohol with comforting mellow sweet. The chiffon cake is wonderful for spring - light, ethereal, delicately flavored. wonderful to combine such luxuries. Although I am not a drinker, I do love to add alcohol to food. The first cake I ever made by myself - for a Christmas party when I was eight - was a sherry cake. It was an old-fashioned recipe, a moist bundt cake with a sugar glaze. I was allowed one slice, and hoped that some would be leftover so that I could treasure it a bit.
